A Short History of Sunglasses
It isn't clear when sunglasses first appeared. Archeologists have asserted that walrus' tusks with narrow slits were employed by the ancient Inuit folk. They could look thru the slit while blocking the harmful rays of the sun.
Early sun shades were worn in the 12th century. To reduce glare Roman Emperor Nero polished emerald stones and held them to his eyes. Viola! He was in a position to see gladiators fighting in his arena.
